【摘要】:Thisguidesetsforthminimumstandardrequirementsforuseinlocalcodesandordinancesrelatingtocommercialandpublicwaterspray/playareas.Thisguidedoesnothavetheeffectoflaw,norisitintendedtosupersedelocalcodesandordinancesofamorerestrictivenature.Thisguideprovidescertainrecommendationstoassistthosewhointendtoprovideprotectionagainstinjuriesorfatalitiesassociatedwithanypossiblevehiclepassageinto,orpedestrianpassagetoorfromawaterspray/playareaenvironmentbychildren.Thiswouldinclude,butnotbelimitedto,stateandlocalgovernments,modelcodeorganizations,buildingcodegroups,andconsumers.Itisunderstoodthattheformatwillvarydependinguponthespecificuseandlocalconditions.1.1Thisguideprovidestherecommendedminimumrequirementsforvarioustypesoffencesforcommercialandpublicoutdoorwaterspray/playareas.1.2Thisguideprovidesforthesafetyofoccupantsinwaterspray/playareasorzonesasitpertainstovehicularintrusionaswellasotherparticipantintrusion,andforchildrencontainmentorentry/exit.1.3Thisguidedoesnotchoosetheproductcomponentsforthefencesystem,thechoiceofwhichshouldbemadebytheoperatorsofthewaterspray/playareaspaceandtheirspecificationwritersordraftersbasedupontheirdeterminationofthemeritsoftheproductsthatcouldbeused.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIvaluesstatedinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.1.5Thisguidedoesnotpurporttoaddresstheaspectofsafetywithinawaterspray/playareaorzone.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisguidetoestablishappropriatesafetypracticesasrelatedtothewaterspray/playareaanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
